Since resurrecting this blog earlier this year, I've been somewhat, uhm, inconsistent in how frequently I've managed to post. One could even say that the initial momentum of the relaunch has occasionally been in danger of petering out for good.
I have no desire to leave my day job to become a full-time blogger, so I'm not too concerned if I can't emulate folks who are trying to do this for a living. No one with a "real" job has time to crank out blog posts everyday, right?
Imagine my surprise when I came across this post from Andrew Gelman, describing the blog posts he has on tap for the rest of the year. These are not his ideas for blog posts -- these are the posts themselves. Written. Already. For the rest of the year.
In addition to being a full-time academic, Gelman somehow still finds the time to curate a blog of incredibly high quality, with very active discussion on almost every post. Talk about a high bar!
If I can end this year with a post that is less than two weeks old, I'll consider it a success.
